EVENT DATE: June 5, 2024

Watch the Wa’a Ceremony that kicks off the Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC), symbolizing unity as traditional canoes bring in representatives from various Pacific nations.

The Festival of Pacific Arts & Culture (FestPAC) is the world’s largest celebration of indigenous Pacific Islanders. First launched in 1972 to halt the erosion of traditional practices through ongoing cultural exchange, the festival convenes in Hawaiʻi from June 6-16, 2024. The theme “Ho‘oulu Lāhui: Regenerating Oceania” honors the traditions that FestPAC exists to perpetuate with an eye toward the future.
